Keeping track of your payments is now even easier - with our new payment setting, “preferred payment day”. Afterpay will automatically turn this on, we will send you an email to notify you of the day that has been selected as your preferred payment day.
Enjoy the convenience of paying on a preferred day and reducing your payment reminders in the process.
How does it work?
For non Californian residents
Afterpay will automatically turn this feature on for you. If preferred payment day is turned on and the day is Friday, this will set your preferred payment day to Friday. Then if you make a purchase on a Monday, your first installment would be paid at the time of checkout, (on the Monday) and then each installment thereafter would move to your preferred day - Friday. The overall ‘pay in 4’ schedule would increase by 4 days. For example:
- 1st installment is debited at checkout on Monday.
- 2nd installment due on your preferred day that is at least 8 days from the date of your order - i.e. on Friday , 10 days later in week 2.
- 3rd installment due two weeks later on Friday, in week 4.
- 4th installment due two weeks later on Friday, in week 6.
