Introduction
Starting in October 2024, Afterpay will provide monthly statements in the Afterpay app. You will receive a statement each month, with the date of receipt corresponding to the date you opened your account. For example, if you opened your account on the 15th of June, your statement will arrive around the 15th of each month.
When your statement is ready, you’ll receive an email from us letting you know that the statement is available including a link to where your statement can be accessed in the Afterpay app - make sure that you have updated to the latest version of the app.
Overview
These statements are provided to help you organize important information about your transactions, payment history, and more. They’ll be split up into a few parts.
Summary
1. Summary of Pay in 4 Account Activity
This section will display all credits, debits, and charges that have occurred over the course of the billing period. This includes orders placed and payments made, as well as any refunds you may have received. In addition to this, any fees from late payments will be detailed here.
2. Payment Information
This section will detail your total balance at the time the statement was produced. Details on payment due dates will also be included here. These will link to the Afterpay app so that you can see future payments as well.
3. Late Payment warning
Avoid further fees by keeping an eye out for late payments! Here, you can see any fees that might result from late payments.
4. Credit counseling services
For those in need, this section also includes information about credit counseling services in your state, in the event you’re concerned about your ability to meet your payment obligations.
Transactions
The Transactions section provides a detailed look at all credit and debit activity that your account has been involved with during the statement period, in date order. This activity includes everything from orders, payments, refunds, and fees that may have occurred in that billing period.
Charges
The Charges section explains any late fees that may have been applied during the billing period. There will be an itemized list of all individual fees charged during the period, as well as a year to date total of all fees your account has been charged. During billing periods where you have no late fees, this section will still be visible, however it will be clearly marked with the words 'Nothing To Display'.
Other Information
The last section of your statement will feature information on how to report any potential errors on your statement. Alongside this information will be instructions on how to contact Afterpay should you have any questions about your statement.
This section will also include a summary of your rights in the event that you’re dissatisfied with any purchases made using your Afterpay account.
