Introduction
Afterpay provides monthly statements in the Afterpay app. You will receive a statement each month, with the date of receipt corresponding to the date you opened your account. For example, if you opened your account on the 15th of June, your statement will arrive around the 15th of each month.
When your statement is ready, you’ll receive an email from us letting you know that the statement is available and including a link to where your statement can be accessed in the Afterpay app - make sure that you have updated to the latest version of the app.
Overview
These statements are provided to help you organize important information about your transactions, payment history, and more. They’ll be split up into a few parts.
For Pay In 4 orders, we provide a Summary of your Pay In 4 Account Activity, Pay in 4 Transactions and Pay in 4 Fees, and for Pay Monthly orders we provide a Summary of your Pay Monthly Account Activity, Pay Monthly Transactions and Pay Monthly Interest.
For reference, the images below are for a Pay in 4 statement.
Summary
1. Summary Of Pay In 4 and/or Pay Monthly Account Activity
This section will display all credits, debits, and charges that have occurred over the course of the billing period. This includes orders placed and payments made as well as any refunds you may have received. In addition to this, any fees from late payments on Pay in 4 orders, or interest incurred on Pay Monthly orders will be detailed here.
2. Payment Information
This section will detail your total balance at the time the statement was produced. Details on payment due dates will also be included here. These will link to the Afterpay app so that you can see future payments as well.
3. Late Payment warning
Avoid further fees by keeping an eye out for late payments! Here, you can see any fees that might result from late payments (applicable to Pay in 4 orders only).
A late fee with respect to any missed payment amount will be incurred to you if all or any portion of any required payment is not received by us within 10 days after its scheduled due date.
4. Credit counseling services
For those in need, this section also includes information about credit counseling services in your state in the event you’re concerned about your ability to meet your payment obligations.
Transactions
The Transactions section provides a detailed look at all credit and debit activity that your account has been involved with during the statement period, in date order. This activity includes everything from orders, payments and refunds applied to your orders. On a Pay in 4 statement, any late fees that may have occurred in that billing period will also be visible here.
Note that refunds that have been credited back to your nominated payment method will appear on a separate page titled ‘Refunds back to your payment method’.
Pay in 4 Fees
The Fees section explains any late fees that may have been applied during the billing period. If you had active Pay in 4 orders during the statement period, there will be an itemized list of all individual fees charged during the period as well as a year to date total of all fees your account has been charged. During billing periods where you have no late fees, this section will still be visible, however it will be clearly marked with the words ‘Nothing To Display’.
Pay Monthly Interest
If you had active Pay Monthly orders during the statement period, this page will show the total interest you have accrued during the statement period, as well as a year to date total of interest charged. If you did not make a payment toward your Pay Monthly order during the billing period, you will see a $0 total for the statement period.
