We will take the first payment at the time you place an order with us. This is usually 25% of the total purchase price.
Received a notification at the checkout that there’s $0 due on the purchase date? Congratulations, this means that you have access to our No Payment Upfront feature! Your first payment will be delayed by up to 2 weeks from the purchase date. However, we still recommend having at least 25% of the purchase price available on your linked debit or credit card in case we run a pre-authorisation.
Please note: If you’re eligible for the No Payment Upfront feature and have a preferred payment day set up for your account, your first instalment will be due a minimum of 8 days and a maximum of 14 days from the purchase date to align with your preferred payment day.
First payment higher than the other three? For some purchases, if your total order amount exceeds your Afterpay-approved spending limit the first payment may be higher than subsequent payments. Afterpay will usually show you how the instalments are split before you pay and your payment schedule for every order is shown in the Afterpay app.
